registry backup

in trying to back up my registry, i ran scanregw,
got sysbckup and saved.
however in searching for this file it showed a year 2000 date rather than the oct 2004.

any ideas and suggestions on this difference.

Which file shows that date and how did you back it up? When you back up the registry, the Rb0x.cab file is created in the Windows\Sysbckup folder (where x is a number from 0 to 5). Each time you back up the registry, the oldest Rb0x.cab file is overwritten.
