Hp Pavillion Recovery

I need the recovery discs for a hp pavillion 9690c. Which has 98. Can I use a recovery discs set from a newer pavillion that has XP?

Thank you ,
Nathan

Hi Nathan

Rescue Disks are model specific.
You have to use disks for a pavillion 9690c.

Goto the above link. Call the 800 number. Tell them you need the restore disks, they will want the serial number. If the item is in warranty, they will send them out free of charge. If it is out of warranty, it is usually $20-$40.
