Windows ME TCP/IP issue
I resently signed up with Sprint for their DSL service. I was having issues with it so I contacted their Online Support. I was told to remove all entries of TCP/IP from my network in control panel then shut down restart and go back to network in contro panel click add protocol add then microsoft and then choose tcp/ip I did all of this except when I got to Microsoft there was no TCP/IP to choose. I then called there help line and was told to go to run type command and in the DOS screen type ipconfig I did this and recieved a message that ip could not be found.
I do not have a disk none was supplied when I purchased the computer. Can anyone help. can I copy the needed information from somewhere what can I do? |

well, i dont know why the tcp/ip protocol isnt showing up on the choices of ones you can install, but i can tell you that you will be able to install it without the me cd.
it is possible someone could put the info in a patch, but you'd have to download it, and i dont think it would be legal anyways. try to find someone with a windows ME cd, and this will work. if you get your hands on one, let us know, and we can try and figure out why tcp/ip isnt on the list.
