problem starting
hi i am running win me and when i go to start it up it gets as far as starting a disk scan because of improper shutdown and then the screen goes black and it stops responding any help?

Have you tried safe mode?
To boot to safe mode. After the logo or memory count screen, before you get the windows me screen. Start Pressing F8 up and down, or try holding the CTRL key. When the menu comes up, select Safe Mode. In safe mode, go see if you have a restore point to go back to before this started happening. Please post back..
