Hi, Can anyone help please! I am too poor to buy a new computer - have a Toshiba laptop 1640 and recently had to run a product recovery disc and re-intall Windows 98 - ever since I have had no sound. I have tried re-installing the driver from the Tools and Utilities CD rom but no luck. When I go in to my control panel and select Mulitmedia, everything is greyed out in the AUDIO panel and Toshiba told me I should change my sound card. Extremely skint and wondered if anyone knew of another way? Also of course, this may not work as I have read from previous similiar problems...
not very good with computers I'm afraid!
