Ever since i've downloaded winamp,i can't play my cd's.On top of my previous thread,a second window pops up that reads"another program is using your soundcard, change output device(in waveOut plug-in configuration,or switchto direct sound output" How do i do this? I have winamp, realtek and windows media player, and none of them is playing my cd's,grrrrrr.

ok, i think this is what you're after...

Start WinAMP then goto OPTIONS -> PREFERENCES (which opens up a new window).

On the left hand side under PLUG-INS you'll see an OUTPUT option, highlight this then in the right hand window select DIRECT SOUND OUTPUT.

Close the PREFERENCES window and you should be ok.

You may need to restart WinAMP but i don't think you should.
