Windows Explorer Thumbnail option missing
I have Windows ME, and all of a sudden under Windows Explorer View tab the option to view graphics as thumbnails is missing, all that is there is
Large Icons, Small Icons, List, Details, but no Thumbnails option. Any help putting it back would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Try right-clicking in the folder with the image files (try not to click on an actual file) and see if the Thumbnails option is available under View there. If not, there's a checkbox in Viewing options that has been unchecked. I'll try to find those settings...

Are there any of your folders that do allow you to view thumbnails of its files? If so, you can go to Folder Options, View tab and click on Apply to All Folders.
The only mention of Thumbnails I've found so far is in the Folder Options, View tab. There's a box that says "Do not cache thumbnails". Try checking that, hit apply and see if the option reappears in the View menu. If so, go back the View tab and click on Apply to All Folders. If that doesn't do anything, try clicking on the Reset All Folders button in that same View tab. There may also be a plugin you can download to enable Thumbnail views. But if you'd had it before, you should be able to get it back. Good Luck! ![]() -Andy

Re: Windows Explorer Thumbnail option missing
Thank you for your help, I tried all you suggested and none fixed the problem unfortunately. I did find a thumbnail viewer and started to use that, its a smaller view then I like but its better than nothing! I appreciate your help, thank you so much!
