MSN Messenger Webcam Problem

Hi,

I have just bought a webcam for a friend who runs a Winodws 98 PC, and when I installed it, it works fine, i can use it to take pictures for example, but when I try to use it in MSN Messenger, It says that a webcam cannot be detected.

Any ideas why this is?

Make sure when you try to use it in MSN, you have no other programs open that are using it, including the one that you use to take pics.
