Re: Hamachi
Hi Deron
Windows 2000 Pro still goes for $140, full version. Windows XP Home Upgrade goes for $80 to $90. Vista Home Basic Upgrade goes for $90. No version of Windows is available for free. If you require Hamachi on a Winodws PC, you'll have to purchase some version of Win2000/XP (not sure if there's a Vista compatible version of Hamachi yet). _________ If you just need Hamachi, and don't care what operating system is running it --- there is a console version for Linux --- https://secure.logmein.com/products/...i/download.asp If you have a spare hard drive, or unused room on the disk holding your Windows Me installation, you could download a free Linux distribution, install it - setting up a WinMe/Linux dual-boot, and install Hamachi's Linux version on the Linux system. Of course, home desktop versions of Linux are usually free. And Linux distros have non-destructive partitioning tools to handle setting up hard drives & partitions. Ubuntu is a fairly easy-to-use, popular distro --- Here's their homepage --- http://www.ubuntu.com/ --- and here's their download page --- http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download Best of luck . . . Gary
