Graphics Problem, New HD with windows 98
I put on a new harddrive onto this tower we have... booted it up and the screens 16 color and very bad resolution. I removed the display adaptor from device manager hoping it would reinstall itself on boot up, but didn't. It's running on windows 98, I used a program to see if it would tell me what card i had, since it was built in. It says i have a 3dimage985 trident card (standard vga)... but i'm not sure if that's what it is reading from the built in graphics card or if it's reading the drivers that was installed for the last comp the harddrive it was in.
If it is 3dimage985 please link me to a driver download for it.. I've searched forever for one, but cannot find it.. if you know of other solutions, please help me out. Signed, Confused |

Right click on the desktop (make sure you are not on an icon). When the window comes up left click on "settings." Then you can adjust the color resolution and screen resolution (ie the size of your desktop). Hope this helps. Let me know if you had any luck with this.
