Not on network???

My WIN98 computer is on my home LAN. It communicates with the internet by going thru a hub to a router that has my DSL modem attached. When I am on my XP computer I can see the WIN98 computer but the WIN98 computer cannot see me. If I click on Network Neighborhood on the w98 computer a message window pops up saying it can't see the network. So it sees the internet connection but not the network. Go figure! It's a real head scratcher. Anybody have any ideas?

Two ideas.

Turn off the firewall on the XP machine.

Create an account on the XP machine with the same name/password as is used to logon to the W98 networking.

don't forget to enable file/printer sharing
