Problems removing Norton Anti-virus

Hi guys. About three years ago I had trouble removing Norton from my computer. Thankfully someone on this forum was able to give me info about a program that I downloaded to extract it. It worked beautifully. I no longer have the name of this program and hope someone can tell me again what it was. I am changing my mom's computer from AOL to sympatico and I cannot install it until Norton (although it is an old application and hasn't been used for a year)out. I appreciate any help.

Thank you,
Darberg

P.S. Error says there is an error in DriveE: which we don't have on this computer.
