Hi,

Windows XP takes much more ram than either ME or Win98, so you probably could install Win 98 without any problem. If your computer is set in BIOS setup menu to boot the CDRom on startup as first in line to boot, then you could just put the CD in (if a full version that boots from CD) and install when it comes up and asks you if you want to install. If you do not want to save anything on your drive, then format the disk first and do a clean install by using a boot disk and Fdisk.

Hi,

You could save drivers to another disk, but if you are formatting, why not add the drivers that you have on disk that are for the setup you are using. If you don't have them, then download them from internet onto a disk before you format the unit. Drivers for your motherboard will usually be found on the website of the manufacturer and they are as a rule free.
