drive problem
I can,t seem to put any new software from disc onto my computer as i used to.Instead of the install instructions comung up,they seem to go into a different drive (Q).I think this is a ram drive, can any one help me get my drive (c)back to normal.I think it may have some thing to do with an auto cad package i tried to install.

drive/ram problem
Many thanks for your reply.I,m useing windows 98.This problem has only occured in the last month or so.I tried to install an auto cad package.Instead of the normal set of windows opening and set up instructions following,it all seemed to be going on in the background. The computer would not let me eject the disc,i had to look in Q drive and use the eject command and it worked. Also for some reason whitch can be a coinsidance,my scanner is now not working or even being recognised on my computer at all.All this must be related. All i want is to get it back to allow me to install discs normally and use my scanner.Even if i buy a new scanner it won,t recognise it.Also when i try to install anything, the CPU goes off the scale and sticks there,it will keep running at full tilt untill i turn the computer off.Otherwise evrything works ok.
