recover windows 98
Hi, A friend has a windows 98 that wont load. assuming it has a virus I have tried to put in a recovery disk but there isnt enough space on the drive.
Is this question right if so any suggegtions. Regards Owain. |

Hi,
Try a WIN 98 registry restore Create a WIN 98 FE or Second Edition bootable floppy disk by downloading then running the image file from. http://www.bootdisk.com Make certain you choose the correct version of WIN 98 FE or SE. Boot from the floppy disk, change Boot order in BIOS if necessary At the A:> prompt type exactly SCANREG /RESTORE Choose the oldest copy of the five copies of the regsitry the system should have available. OK out and accept the reboot. Post back hth Ceri edit spelling |
