Making a Copy of ME installation Disk

My backup copy of ME is no good, missing 'command' file
and probably more. What was my mistake?? Did i read
something somewhere about system files? What's the best
way to make a working backup copy of ME Installation Disk?

Hi, A DISK COPY from Nero or Roxio etc. should have got you a good bootable CD. Creator Classic or Drag to Disk (Roxio) or what ever Nero calls them will not put the System Files that are necessary for booting on the copy. Sys files are: Command.com - Visible, and IO.Sys and DOS.SYS - both hidden.

Good Luck, Jim

The way I make a backup copy of my win 2k disk is to first open the disk with explorer and select all and copy to a folder and then burn from the folder with adeaptec easy creator...work every time for me

Hi DMouse is right, but Roxio, Nero etc. Disk copier does exactly the same thing only easier.
