Making a Copy of ME installation Disk
My backup copy of ME is no good, missing 'command' file
and probably more. What was my mistake?? Did i read something somewhere about system files? What's the best way to make a working backup copy of ME Installation Disk? -H |

not sure if this will help but I was having trouble reinstalling from my Me disk and the error said I had a corrupt file I just did a strait copy using nero and it installed fine

Hi, A DISK COPY from Nero or Roxio etc. should have got you a good bootable CD. Creator Classic or Drag to Disk (Roxio) or what ever Nero calls them will not put the System Files that are necessary for booting on the copy. Sys files are: Command.com - Visible, and IO.Sys and DOS.SYS - both hidden.

The way I make a backup copy of my win 2k disk is to first open the disk with explorer and select all and copy to a folder and then burn from the folder with adeaptec easy creator...work every time for me
