Start up problem

When the computer is turned on there's error messages saying that explorer is not responding and setup cannot be loaded. Once it's restarted 3 or 4 times it usually works but how do i fix this?

Also, another problem,

when recording with my computer microphone it's really quiet, i've checked all the levels and sound options and it's how it should be and the correct things are selected but it's still really quiet. It's not the microphone cos it works fine on other computers.

Welcome to TSF.

I just want to make sure it's not a spyware problem that's causing the startup error. Please download Adaware and install it. Make sure to update it when you run it. Also make sure to customize the settings in Adaware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

well i don't know about your startup problems, but if you go to your sound and audio devices (in control panel) and go to the advanced tab under "Microphone" and select "Microphone Boost" it should help
