Win.ini
Everytime I start my computer (98SE OS) I get the following:
>cannot find the file ocraware.exe.< OK >could not load the file ocraware.exe. specified in WIN.INI...remove ref etc.< ? Where is Win.INI? How do I remove the ref. Thanks |

Welcome to TSF.
Make sure that you can view hidden files and folders. Then do a search for win.ini in the search box. You can probably edit the line that indicates ocraware. Did you uninstall it? If you did and it gives you that error, try installing it and uninstall it again.

Instead of using the hidden file option:
Click Start, Run. type: sysedit click ok Goto the win.ini file and look in the load= or run= and see if ocraware.exe is listed. You can either put a semi-colon (;) in front of the load or run, or delete the ocraware.exe text.
