problems printing in all colors
We have a HP Pavilion PC Model 9790c with HPDeskjet 830C printer and using Win 98SE. Whenever we print anything in color it will only print out in pinkish/red hues and black, i.e. no greens, yellow, blue etc. We have tried 3 diff't color cartridges, cleaned the print cartridges, checked the printer drivers and made sure they were up to date and working properly as well as searched the internet and the HP web help site and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions!!
Thanks much! |

Try using a pencil eraser to clean the contacts on the printer. There are lots of pins sticking up there where the cartridges sit. Gently wipe down the pins on the color cart side. Then blow out the eraser bits with canned air or compressor. If that doesn't work, try a new printer cable. Make sure that it is IEEE 1284.
