windows update xml ? whats this ?

Hi on Windows Updates last year, I down loaded my updates and one of these was Microsoft xml 4.0 parser SDK
Do I need this on my comp ???

I have Hewlett Pac / windows 98se with Internet Explorer (yuck )
and comcast internet service , bought in yr 2000 upgraded it as far as I could 256 MGZ SD Ram . Can I uninstall this program with messing up my comp? Help please I am retired and do not need it for work purposes if that is what it is for ?

Hi I went into Microsoft support and it says windows update installed in error and it will not open local files .... hummmmmm that might be why I was having some problems with windows on my computer / win 98se ... HEY a big thank you I never would have known !!! goldenyrs
