If your version of Office provides the option to "repair" it's current installation, you can try that as a first step.
Since the taskbar works fine for all other programs except for MS Office - it sounds more like a compatibility issue or a wayward preference setting. If the taskbar worked fine in the past, and this problem is completely new, and you haven't made any hardware/software changes recently, you could also try restoring a backup copy of the Registry from before this problem popped up. Boot with either a bootable Win98 floppy diskette, or with a Windows CD "Start computer with CD-rom support" . . . and from the A:> prompt, type scanreg /restore ... and choose a date from before the MS Office programs went AWOL from the taskbar. Best of luck . . . Gary |
