GMail account on Outlook Express

Hi there,

Currently i have a notebook and a desktop pc. I have a gmail account and i set up a GMail account in my Outlook Express on notebook which is running on WinXP, it works just fine. But when i'm at home i would use my desktop pc.. a Window 98 SE OS. I set up my GMail account in Outlook Express and it can't send/receive any mails. It seems like it couldn't connect to the POP and SMTP server. But i have set everything correctly. Could someone guide me as i'm not really fimiliar with it. Is it because GMail accounts doesn't support on Win98 SE OS or is it something that i have missed out? Thanks

My System

GMail shouldn't care what mail app you use. However, your ISP may not allow connections to third-party SMTP servers (Cox Cable does this).

Also, Gmail doesn't use ports 110 (POP) and 25 (SMTP), they use 995 (POP) and 465 (SMTP).

But both of my computers are from the same ISP. Just that my notebooks are WinXP (the one that can use GMail) and another was Win 98 which i can't use them. The POP and SMTP that i configured is right.
