Help the old guy...
I'm old and new to this computer thing ,although I know enough to get me started so bare
with me here.I bought a used computer for $20 recently.I don't need much out of it ,just word processing and a few games for my grandkids. It has 432 mhz.I had also recently bought a 15gb hard drive. The computer came with a DVD-ROM drive and a CD burner. When I had first turned on the computer with the hard drive plugged in it would turn on.What I mean to say is it would make the normal noise nothing would show up on the screen though. The next day I had pushed the power button and it simply would turn on.I have no recollection of what I did to it(I'm old)so I can't be any more specific.Help me please would ya?

The computer I bought was an IBM NetVista .It did not come with a hard drive so I thought I could buy one instead.I believe the power button does not work. It's a very strange power button though.Unlike most, where the power button is directly connected to the supply, this one has a spot on the motherboard for some reason.
