hi, me again. my win98se showing blue screen and this message pops up - fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028: C02a27a8 in vxd vwin32 (05) + 000012D0

I read all possible solution and do it. but its just keep on popping up.

Please help.....

i checked the vxd files. i deleted the temp. files. i fully scan the computer, i scan for viruses, nothings come up. I also did the system configuration and follow what i found on some forum. it's still the same blue screen popping up.

I would try a repair installation. Follow these steps:

Make sure you have your Windows98 Product ID before doing this!. You will also need to indentify all devices that require specific drivers (video card, sound card, modem, network adaptor, etc.)

1 - Boot to a Windows98 Boot Floppy (if you don't have one, boot into MS-DOS Mode by tapping F8 after you turn the PC on, and select it from the list that comes up)

2 - Put your Windows98 CD in the CD drive

3 - Type in md c:\win98 and press enter

4 - Type in copy {cd}:\win98\. c:\win98 and press enter. {cd}: is the letter for your CD Drive, most likely D: or E:.

6 - Take out the CD

7 - Type in c:\win98\setup and press enter.

This will start the install. Just follow the prompts, and it will fix Windows without deleting your data or applications.

Fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C02A27A8 in VXD VWIN32(05) + 000012D0/+000012D, win98 Solutions: One user has reported it was caused by a bad system FAN causing overheating Another user has reported that this error message was caused by the Backdoor.NTHack virus which installed winproxy 3.0 (mmtask.exe) and tried to steal passwords 0028:C02A27A8 VXD VWIN32(05) +000012D due to conflicts with Pest Patrol Another user has reported that it was caused by Norton AntiVirus 2001 automatic update running at startup (ntdetect in scheduled tasks). He disabled the task in safe mode, and it booted fine without the error. After manually running Live Update, he re-enabled the task and the Computer worked fine.
