Is this PC dead?

Hi all.

sorry I cant give many details as this is about someone elses pc.

OS win 98 - dont know if it is se.
celron cpu?
128mb ram?

PC will boot to the windows splash screen sometimes.
PC shuts down
PC wont boot at all.
Does not see usb mouse or keyboard


Is the psu faulty?
Is the battery running out?
Is it a problem with the MB
Or a combination of all?

Sorry for the lack of detail, I have just been given this by my friend to see if I could help.
I have a feeling the psu is faulty.

I cant restore the OS if the PC does not stay on.

U probably have a bad Motherboard and Powersupply

Definitely sounds like a power supply problem to me...If possible can you try another power supply?

Check the fan on the processor, as well as the fan in the power supply.
