Cant boot windows on different hardware.

Ok, i just ordered in a new Mobo, new GFX card, new 1gig Ram, new CPU, and 250GB of a Sata 3G/bs HD. I installed everything (forgot the 12VATX connector on the mobo the first run and was scared to death when it wouldnt turn on) anyways i figured that out and i Was just in a joy of getting the PC on, i was going to clone my copy of Win XP Home to the 250 GB hd so i can use it too (i can do that right?) while my sisters get the old computer with win xp on that too with all on our house router. Anyways, I go to start the system up and everything is fine and it gets to the windows xp loading bar and within 2 frames it was the Blue Screen of Death... sigh, i tried everything, so then after that i took the long trek home and dismantled everything and put in all my old stuff, and got it running, well, everything cept the RAM since it runs on this comp even tho it clocks down. SOOOOO what can i do to the IDE drive so it let Windows boot without BSoD?

Well my friends tell me i have to reformat, i know there has to be something less destructive. Where it just resets the drivers and all that info and keeps the files.

and even still can i use both the same win xp on one router?
