Help my mouse is going all over the screen!

Hi, we have a Sony Vaio PIII with Windows 98 and when we try to point the mouse somewhere, it starts jumping all around the screen. Is there something I can do to fix this?

You can try a different mouse for starters. Also make sure you dont have a cell phone next to the monitor, it will make the mouse jump like crazy
