MORE problems....

Sorry people but ALL the help for my XP did`nt save it so it`s back to ME.....

Anyway,when i last used this my cameras worked perfectly but when i plug in (for example)my little VIVITAR VIVICAM3720......if i go to the AMCAP function just to use the video it all shows as being in order but the screen stays black.
And if i actually go to the camera in my computer and click on it`s icon all i get is the below mentioned page of text when i USED to get into the camera function and be able to take and save photo`s....
Ive checked everything in device manager etc etc and it`s all fine .....

WHAT AM I MISSING.....................

I cant even copy the page of text is seems but it starts out telling me

<!--THIS FILE DRIVESNAMESPACE WEB VEIW OF WIA VIDEO CAMERA DEVICES
IT INCLUDES A FILELIST,A PREVEIW CONTROL AND A HIDDEN CONTROL THAT HANDLES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMANDS EXPOSED IN THE IU

It then carries on with one really long page of camera information

It`s like im accessing the camera without the actual functions of it

I`ve also just now noticed that if i go into my photos i get the same big page of text and ANY file i open has %THISDIRMAME%up in the left corner instead of the name of the file..I.E control panel,my computer...ANY FOLDER...THEM ALL.

I recently had to reset things in the cmos setup (on advice from here or cnet)
just to get this working again so it seems it`s something to do with that mabey.
ANY photo is a page of text and all files have that %thisdirname%in the corner.....
