Broken computer...again,

I have a 333mhz ,32mb ,8gb hardrive computer.To get my point across,it sucks.
It's operating system is win98.Anyway, it was working,but now its not.I had tried to install
a Ultra ATA/100 controller,(Model No.PDC20267 ).After installing it I made sure the cables
were secure(unlike last time) and I turned it on.No beep codes,no nothing.You could hear the CPU was on ,but nothing the screen.I tried putting the cords back to where they were
but still nothing.Please help me

Dam why are you trying to use that old relic? One can buy a complete system now for 300.00 dollars. Unless you are destitute i don't understand this. Of course it sucks and that is a understatement.

Have you tried another pci slot?

It's unclear if the controller is still installed and not working or if you installed it, it did not work and you uninstalled it and now the computer does not work at all.

I have a relic similar to yours as well as a spiffy new gateway with bells and whistles. Seems to me, they both work equally well for their purpose. Post back and more than likely someone can get you up and running

Sorry about the delay but anyhow last night I worked on my computer.I had managed to get my computer working partially.Everything is plugged in,the computer works fine untill the part where it says,"Ultra ata/100 Detecting..."and then it says :No hard drives attatched"
I switched back to my old IDE ports but they dont work either.btb bike Im not poor,I just like a challenge + I have an Acer "with bells and whistles"too

oh also..The computer also says "insert boot disk" but I dont have a floppy drive so what do I do?
