resolution won't change from 640 X 480

I have tried every thing I know to try. The resolution will not change from 640 X 480 with 16 colors. I would just leave it there but People PC will not load unless resolution is 800 X 600. Help! Thanks , Pete

PC windows 98

You need to update, or install video drivers, maybe need to install mobo
drivers as well.

Just try the VGA drivers in the Motherboard CD and after that the system restarts and You will be able to change the resolution to the desired requirements.

Find out what video card you have and download the current drivers for it. There should be some legacy ones in XP that will get you higher than that res.
