Question Installing Nikon PictureProject on Win 98

I have a Nikon Coolpix 3200, which requires installation of PictureProject 1.0 to install the camera so I can upload photos. The manual lists Win98 as a compatible operating system, but when I try to install, I get a message saying that the program can not run on my operating system.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? If not, is there another way I can get my camera installed so I can upload photos?

any help would be HUGELY appreciated. I am very tired of having to go to a photocenter to put pics on cd.

Its possible it only supports 98SE and you may be running 98 first editon, can you check to verify your O.S. ?

I have SE, and the software says it requires XP Home Edition or Professional, 2000 Professional, ME, or SE.

I wanted to put the exact error message in my original post, but I can't get the message to come up again.

I put the installation cd in, and a window pops up asking me to select a language. I choose English (I've even tried Spanish) and click "next" (the only other option is "quit"). The first time I attempted, I got an error message that said something along the lines of "PictureProject cannot run on this operating system." But during all my subsequent tries, I click "next" and nothing happens. The language window disappears, and nothing else pops up no matter how long I wait.
If I can get the error message to come up again, I will post it verbatim.
