Hi, some IDIOT showed my husband the Temporary Internet Files folder on the computer. My husband, who thinks he is VERY knowledgeable about computers, but knows actually diddly-squat, has been entering that file like crazy and randomly deleting files, without knowing what the HECK he is doing!!!! So far, he's deleted some cookie files that we needed on our computer that ran some web sites I have. He just won't stop, even though I've told him since he knows not what he does, he shouldn't do it. Is there ANYWAY to password the file program, so he can't go there every day and randomly delete things, without knowing what they are??? Or can I hide the folder somehow so he can’t find it??? I really need some help on this one, before I am reduced to breaking some or all of his fingers.
Thanks!

1. Remain calm.
2. Does the "How Do I Recover Lost Files?" in this page help? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312932/en-us 3. Is this applicable? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/172949/en-us 4. Could you use this feature to your advantage? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814782/en-us |

Is the user account applicable in Win Me - and if so, can the users be assigned different rights level (as in Win XP Pro)?
If one has Win Xp Pro with Simple File Sharing disabled, then it would be piece of cake - however, I doubt this can be achieved in the "home user" OS's (Win 9x, Me, Xp home). |
