Outlook security settings

Hi,

My wife uses Outlook 2003 on XP Prox SP2. Whenever she clicks on a web link in a received e-mail, an error message pops up saying that because of certain security settings the link wouldn't open. I checked all the Outlook security settings against mine and they are identical, yet I don't have that problem on my PC. Where can I start looking?

Hi esm,

In Tools -> Options -> Security -> are all boxes unchecked under 'Change automatic download settings'?

Also, check in Tools -> Options -> Preferences -> Junk Email -> uncheck 'Don't turn on links....'

Yes, all boxes are unchecked.

Also, check in Tools -> Options -> Preferences -> Junk Email -> uncheck 'Don't turn on links....'

This option does not show at all.

Does you wife have a admin profile?

Also, at the top of the email message, do you see a grey bar which has something like:

?

Yes, she is the sole user of this PC and she has admin functions.

No, there is no bar like that on top of the e-mail message.

Have you checked for Office 2003 updates? They can be found here
