MS Word - View Problem
I am using Word 2002. Ever since reformatting my computer and reinstalling Office XP, when I choose "Print View" it displays two pages on the screen like this:
![]() I normally have my zoom set to 75%, and that always used to display one page like this: ![]() So in otherwords, I want Word to display ONE page when I open it up... and when I change to 75% zoom, I still want it to display only one page. Am I being thick on this? lol Hope someone can help! Gary |

When your on Print View click View > toolbars and select Print Preview. A new toolbar will appear, click the one page icon (the green square with 1 white page) and your print view will now show 1 page at a time.

I opened the document, and went to VIEW -> TOOLBARS. If I go to FILE -> PRINT PREVIEW then I can select the one page option, but it displays it at 73%. When I change it to 75%, it shows two pages again. :-( This is so frustrating. lol

OK let's see if you have a conflict with any of these
• The Data registry key • The Normal.dot global template • Add-ins and templates • COM add-ins • The Options registry key Click Start > Run type Winword.exe /a. Try and change zoom in single page mode of the print preview now, let us know what happens. |

If I click on the single page icon in Print PREVIEW, then it will display one page at 73%. When I change it to 75%, it goes back to showing two pages?
I'm not really bothered about how it is displayed in print preview, but I am bothered about how it displays in Print Layout in the main page. The pages go as follows: 1 2 3 4 5 6 However I want them to display one after the other like this: 1 2 3 4 5 etc. |

No probs. :-) I appreciate you trying to help fix it! I tried setting the zoom to "page width" and "whole page" and this took the zoom to 148% and 73% respectively.
However, when I change it to 75% using the dropdown menu at the top on the toolbar, it changes back to displaying two pages. It's a strange one, isn't it? |

yeah definately
Have you scanned for viruses/malware? Try the 5 step process if that doesn't help post an HJT log in the HijackThis help forum I can't help thinking there's something staring me in the face on this one. I'll keep fiddling with word settings in an attempt to recreate your problem, but I'd defo advise the virus scans for now.

Even i am also encountering the same problem.
BTW, are you using a wide screen desktop because somehow i feel that is the culprit here.
