Office 2007 slows down my computer

I mostly use Word and it seems like when it's running my whole computer kinda lags. My computer is a Gateawy MX3410 if that helps.

Re: Office 2007 slows down my computer

Hi

what Operating System are you running? If you're running with the standard 512MB RAM that comes with that machine that'll be why things are slow. Especially if you're running XP SP3 or Vista with that too!

I'd recommend a memory upgrade, www.crucial.com and run their upgrade advisor for costs

I would have to agree with spong. 512MB is not enough especially for some of the applications that are coming out nowadays. Anything from the Office Suite to Adobe's CS4.

I, myself, would reccomend at least 2GB of RAM. Make sure that they are identical parts. It runs smoother that way.

Re: Office 2007 slows down my computer

It is a 512 and it's XP. I'm guessing that's why... seems like its in the inveitable then.

Re: Office 2007 slows down my computer

Yep, but on the plus side, RAM is very cheap at the moment so get some ordered and marvel at how much better the PC runs :D
