Question [SOLVED] restoring Outlook data

Hello,
I have two computers, both using XP SP3 and loaded with most of the same programs. Recently, the first computer's motherboard failed. I installed that computer's hard drive as a slave drive on my second computer. I can access most of the files I need on the slave drive except some associated with a few programs. I was able to restore data from Quicken files on the first drive to the primary drive on the second computer. However, I have two more programs which I would like to be able to restore data from; Incredimail and Microsoft Outlook. I was only using Outlook for it's calender and contacts functions. Can anyone instruct me about how to retrieve and restore that data from the slave drive to the primary drive?

Re: restoring Outlook data

and welcome to the Forum

For Outlook, you can search for " *.pst " on the old drive . . set the advanced search to include hidden and system files. When you find it, copy to the good drive and then import into your new outlook

Grin Re: restoring Outlook data

Rich,

Thanks for the How-to. I followed your instructions and was able to locate the correct file and open it on the primary drive. Thanks very much!
