Jonny
Ok so here is it is. I have a picture. I insert caption picture 1.0. then i describe the picture. Picture 1.0: Dog
then later i cross reference to that picture. I say insert cross reference select picture, then Picture 1.0: Dog. and it puts dog there too!!! It makes dog part of the caption. So then u think ok just delete dog and it works. You can say the sentence with out the dog but then when u print the document it puts the deleted dog back . Im going to burst a vein with the crap fml. plz help anyone ![]()

Re: Jonny
Hi Jonny,
You really ought to pay attention to the options available on the Insert|Cross-Reference dialogue box - for caption cross-references, one of them is 'Only label and number'.

Re: Jonny
Hi Jonny,
When you insert a caption, anything to the left of the caption number becomes part of the caption label. I have no idea what you mean by an equation (in the context of a picture caption) or 'nps'.

Re: Jonny
Hi Jonny,
As I said in my previous post, anything to the left of the caption number becomes part of the caption label. If you need to have: X+Y=fx ...Eq. 1.1 you could put: X+Y=fx in a paragraph to which the Caption Style is not applied and: Eq. 1.1 in the caption paragraph. If you need both to appear on the same line, use a two-column table, with 'X+Y=fx' in the left column and the caption (in the Caption Style) in the right column.
