Access 2003 Query that won't accept No as a Criteria
I am trying to create a query that will give me a count of pending complaints. Pending complaints would be all complaints that have not been resolved, deleted, transferred, or closed. When I indicate that the result should be grouped by Count with the Criteria "No" in order to get a count of all those fields (they are all yes/no boxes) where the box was not checked, with the Criteria No I do not get any results, although there are records with that information.
I tried the same query with the Criteria Yes, and it worked fine--why won't it work with No? |

Re: Access 2003 Query that won't accept No as a Criteria
the criteria should most likely be "is null" . I believe the field is either blank or yes when it's stored.

Re: Access 2003 Query that won't accept No as a Criteria
Right you are. Unfortunaltely, Is Null and "Is Null" result in the same thing: the records in which the yes/no boxes are not checked are once again not being counted. Any other suggestions?
