Problem printing with templates in Word 2003
I hope that there is not already a similar thread on the subject... the search function kept giving me the same "fatal error" message of "allowed memory size... exhausted..."
I am running Microsoft Office Word 2003 on Vista (x86). I am printing on an HP LaserJet P2015dn printer. My problem is such: I have several templates that are in more or less constant use. When printing a document with a template the footer is printed immediately after the header, before the rest of the document! When I print the same document without header&footer, there is no problem. Even if the only "text" in the document outside the header/footer is spaces and/or breaks (breaking space/br/bsp whatever you call what the enter/return buttons do). When printing a document containing only the header&footer, they are printed in their proper places. Recently (aka today) some of my attempts to print a document with its header&footer (for I keep trying) gave me a perfectly placed printing. I did nothing out of the ordinary. Opened templated document, inserted text and pressed print. Nothing else. This is my usual process which usually ends with me printing the header&footer alone and then printing the text on the same page. Seeing as how I haven't come by any such similar problem in any other Office product I am using, I assume the problem is not with the printer... which leaves me only Word. |
