office 2003 now drunk

Somehow, OGA managed to do a pass through automatically even tho WGA was set to manual.

Got the popup that said my license for Office 2003 was no good. Yeah, I know...had bought a new notebook from Gateway in 2005 and it came bundled without disk...that hard drive got swallowed and then the power board had a dead short. Bought a new Dell to replace it. Gateway was NO help in getting a key for the original bundle of MS Office, so I loaded another copy someone lent me apparently now bogus. figured I had paid for a license once, so why not!

Now, I tell OGA 'I know' and continue, but ANY MS Office file now opened has a 15 second delay on any keystroke operation! Drives me nuts! I've tried the normal hacks to quell OGA and WGA, to no avail. I've rolled back the system restore until well before OGA or WGA notifications....no luck....MS Office 2003 still now has the 15 second delay

Any workarounds other than get legal on line?

Thanks for any help or should I just delete MS Office in total and go to OpenOffice? 80% of my other work is done on another machine that has a legit copy of Office2007 which I always had to save in a 97-2003 format anyway

Re: office 2003 now drunk

It is against TSF rules to give assistance with illegal activity, including avoidance of license agreements,.

It is important for all members to take time out to have a read of our rules. A link to them is on every page.

It all helps to keep the high quality of the extensive knowledge base at TSF.

With the above said, welcome to TSF and please enjoy the forum.

Your Office 2007 EULA allows installation on one desktop and one laptop.
