Re: Trouble Installing office 2007

Hi Steve

It might be in the last instance when you were installing office 2007 it was installed partially and that is creating a issue for it.

Try using repair and reinstall option instead of fresh installation.

Thanks

There is no reinstall option/repair only install option is available. I deleted microsoft office folder but Outlook Express folder could not delete. ''This files are in use by other users or progam'' but there is none.

Re: Trouble Installing office 2007

first, it is necessary to uninstall that program you installed last time, and then re-install it again. try this.

Idea Re: Trouble Installing office 2007

Okay, if your previous Office installation was interrupted and when you tried to install it again, you will get this error "2007 Microsoft Office suite_name encountered an error during setup."

Do the following to resolve the issue:
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
2. Type cd "%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft Help", and then press ENTER.
3. Type attrib -h rgstrtn.lck, and then press ENTER.
4. Type del rgstrtn.lck, and then press ENTER.
5. Type exit, and then press ENTER.

After you delete the Rgstrtn.lck file, you can try to install the 2007 Office suite.

Hope this will work out for you(**,).

Re: Trouble Installing office 2007

Search for the file "rgstrtn.lck" (include hidden file also)...

Once you got the file, copy the whole path.
Now, cmd->cd "paste the whole path" and enter.
Type attrib -h rgstrtn.lck, and then press ENTER.
Type del rgstrtn.lck, and then press ENTER.
Type exit, and then press ENTER.

Try installing again.

Re: Trouble Installing office 2007

You can also use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility in cases like this:
