Outlook won't shut down

I installed the latest version of Outlook Connector as required by the 9/1/2009 deadline so that my hotmail e-mails will appear in Outlook. Ever since that download Outlook won't shut down when I close it. It appears to be closed, but when I turn the computer off I get an error message that says, "Outlook.exe is not responding. End Now." I do this and it shuts down OK, but when I restart the computer and open Outlook I get a message that says, "The data file (my hotmail address) was not closed properly. File being checked for problems." I would appreciate any help in resolving this!

Re: Outlook won't shut down

In your outlook options disable the send/receive on exit and see if that helps.

Re: Outlook won't shut down

Good idea, but unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. My gut tells me that it has something to to with Outlook Connector staying signed in and not closing when I close Outlook.
