URGENT: Outlook 2007 issue
I have an issue with only one user, and its clear he has gone into something he shouldn't have I might add, and it is an issue with Outlook.
Here is the issue. He came into one of our offices and found that when he went to our webmail or the Outlook 2003 on our terminal servers the mailboxes were empty. Although, his Outlook 2007 on his local computer has everything he has received and sent. While troubleshooting I found that if we sent an e-mail to him it would appear on both the webmail and terminal server but when he opened Outlook on the local machine, it would disappear from webmail and the terminal server and leave them empty once again. The e-mail could only be seen on the local Outlook 2007. The local Outlook 2007 appears to be removing the e-mail from the server entirely when it retreives it but the problem is that we are using an Exchange server, so how can that be? It makes no sense and I cannot find an option anywhere that allows for that. If there is, then its clear that somebody was really messing around in options when they shouldn't have. I have only a couple of hours to try to resolve this issue, can anybody help? |

Re: URGENT: Outlook 2007 issue
Seems to be a fairly easy one please try the following instructions listed below.
Click tools>email accounts>view or change existing email accounts>change>more settings>advanced now here finally make sure you have a check mark in "leave a copy of messages on the server. Hope this helps!!!

Re: URGENT: Outlook 2007 issue
Thats not an option there, the only things listed are "Cached Exchanged Mode"( I have somebody at that office down there looking to ensure it is checked off ), "Download Shared Folders (exclude mail folders)" and "Download Public Folder Favourites"
I've already checked there. |

Re: URGENT: Outlook 2007 issue
Creating a new profile seems to have done the trick. My apologies for making it so urgent. Everybody always waits until a deadline to report an issue and then I am expected to resolve the issue instantaneously. All I ever ask is to report the issue when it occurs so I can have the time to resolve the issue. I highly doubt every single problem coincidently occurs right before a deadline for every user in the company across all five offices lol
End of rant lol |
