copy paste problem

I often have to copy from one word doc and paste to another. When I paste, the paragraph may be off in terms of the tab stops. Most of the time this is a long copy / paste doc too so I find myself going to the beginning of each paragraph and backspacing to get it to the very beginning of the line like the rest of my document is.

I know there has to be a better, easier and faster way then this. I spend way too much time doing the backspace thing. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Re: copy paste problem

It sounds like you are not copying the formatting properly for some reason. The formatting - turn on paragraph marks and make sure you select that in addition to the text that you are copying. If all the paragraph formatting is the same then once you have copied you could reformat the first paragraph and then use the format painter to apply it to the other paragraphs. Select the reformatted text including the paragraph mark, click on the format painter icon, or select it from the menu and then select the text, including the paragraph mark, to be reformatted.
