OS: windows 2000

Evil Office 2000 keeps shuting down

Can someone please help with Outlook 2000.

I have a client with a windows 98 machine that has Outlook 2000. He is connected to a Window 2000 server that has "Microsoft Mail Post Office" on it.
The client went into Outlook > Tools > Option > Mail Service > Re-define mail service > and changed the selection from "Corporate or Workgroup option" to "Internet Only Option".
Under Control Panel > Mail there was internet mail and "Microsoft Mail".
After re-booting, if you go to Control Panel > Mail, it will not start. No errors and nothing shows in the list of processes.
When you start Outlook 2000, it opens and a message is printed "An OLE registration error occurred." and when you press the "OK" it closes Office 2000.
Question: 1. How can I change it back to "Corporate or Workgroup Option"
2. How can I get rid of "Microsoft Mail"
Looking for a registry of program to correct this problem. I will have the client not use Microsoft Mail on windows 98 or ME. It works fine in Windows XP.
