Can you Open Word Perfect Docs in MS Word ?

My customer has MS Office installed, but he need to be able to interface with everyone else in the office, that have Word Perfect.

I did a little research and it appears that MS Office does not have a good add-on that will make this easy. It said something about this version has to be this way, and this version has to be that, etc... All too complicated for my customer.

Is there a magic-bullet solution, or is the best thing to install Word Perfect ?

Hi Johnny,

Neither MS nor WordPerfect seem to have been able to produce a 100% reliable converter for converting between their two file formats. However, one of the (free) converters from MS or elsewhere, or getting both partices to save their work in the 'universal' RTF format, may do the job well enough for your purposes.

Re: Can you Open Word Perfect Docs in MS Word ?

Thanks for the reply. I gathered that there was some intermediary format that would transition from one to the other, but the customer is not real good with nit-picky computer details. I'm thinking the best solution is for him to have both MS Word and Word Perfect installed.
