XL 03 - File Will Not Open

I am running Excel 2003 on XP. This is my work PC. I use Excel a lot and one file has started refusing to open or at least it is invisible. All other files open fine. When I open this file it asks me if I wish to update the links and whether I do or not the file does not open. I receive no dialogue box. If I try to reopen the file without first closing excel it claims the file is already open. It does not appear as open in the task manager or anywhere else. What's up?

Hi Samuel,

I've seen this sort of thing happen with workbooks that are seriously corrupted. Try re-loading from a known good backup.
