Hi
I have a dilemma! I have a spreadsheet that I need to apply some conditional formatting to and I am not having much luck. I have four conditions in a cell "F", "C", "U", "DB" that can be selected from a data validation drop down list. When lets say "F" is selected I want the whole rows cells to change to a different colour (not the text the actual cell) "C" a different colour and so on "F" would be light blue or index colour 41 "U" would be white or index colour 2 "C" would be light green or index colour 35 "DB" would be orange or index colour 48 I am trying to not have to use code to do this. I have excel 2003 any help appreciated. |

Re: Conditional Formatting Excel 2003
Hi Phil,
Apart from the default cell format, conditional formatting in Excel 2003 can only manage 3 conditions. So, if you have a default selection in the dropdown, you can format the cell with that selection's colour, then use conditional formatting for the other 3. If you don't have a default selection, you're out of luck.
