Upgrading

I have MS Office 97 (is that the last 90-something Office?). Is it worth upgrading to the latest (whichever one it is) if all I need is a basic spreadsheet and basic word processor?

Hi,

Boy, I love these personal opinion questions. Can't be wrong when there is no right and wrong answer. Besides all the baloney, I think you would be wasting your money to upgrade from the one you have in view of what you use it for. There you have it..............NO, don't pay the money.

I would tend to agree, the laptop I use all day every day for work has a standard build of Office 97 although the OS is XP pro and my home machine has the most recent version of office. 97 works fine and I can't honestly say I have ever missed any of the later features in day to day report writing, number crunching etc. Save your money!!!
