Excel 2007 keeps crashing
I installed Microsoft Office 2007 trial version on my brand new laptop, and it worked fine. As I was coming to the end of the trial period, I purchased Office 2007 Home and Student and installed it on my laptop. Word works fine, but Excel keeps crashing when I open it.
When I open a document, Excel throws up its standard error message - "Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close..." Then it goes on to close, and reopen the file I wanted to open in the first place. I can work on the file, however, when I try to save my changes, the above-mentioned error message comes up again and Excel doesn't save my work. I tried the diagnostics, and Excel told me there was 1 problem that it couldn't fix. I don't know what this problem is though. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and this has definitely made the problem worse (before I could save changes in my docs, now I can't). Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have happened and how I can repair this problem? |
